We are so honored to have Jessica Books-Woods joining us as our guest speaker for this year's Fall Forum! This event is one that you will not want to miss out on as we will discuss the role of NABIP in helping to shape the future of healthcare.
A little more about Jessica:
Jessica Brooks-Woods, CEO of the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP), is a transformative leader at the forefront of healthcare innovation. Drawing from her decade-long tenure as President & CEO of the Pittsburgh Business Group on Health, she redefined healthcare value and access, achieving over $30 million in annual employer savings and reducing employee out-of-pocket costs by $6 million. Known as the “Velvet Hammer in Healthcare,” Jessica blends strategic advocacy with purpose-driven leadership. Her entrepreneurial spirit is evident in initiatives like EARN Staffing Solutions and Health Desk, both of which address systemic gaps in healthcare and workforce equity.
Jessica’s commitment to health equity is further exemplified by her development of the AI-powered Rise Health Equity tool, designed to amplify marginalized voices in healthcare communication. With academic credentials from Penn State and Carnegie Mellon, she is also a respected speaker and community leader, serving on numerous boards and earning accolades such as City and State PA’s Top 50 of Impact and Pittsburgh’s Power 100. In June 2023, she published Race Forward: An Employer’s Guide to Health Equity, reinforcing her role as a visionary shaping the future of healthcare through NABIP.

We will be having a brokers vs. carrier contest to see who can bring the most winter apparel, non-perishable food items, and hygiene products. Here are some examples:

- Hygiene items (deodorant, razors, travel sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash, etc.)
